Health Risk Communication Health risk communication involves the exchange of information about a health threat in such a way that the target audience can perceive high enough levels of susceptibility and severity to motivate actions or behaviors that reduce the risk or avoid the threat. The goals of health risk communication are to enhance knowledge and understanding, build trust and credibility, encourage dialogue, and influence attitudes, decisions, and behaviors.
